I was asked to share my expected salary range, but when I asked about the company’s budget or salary range for the role, the interviewer refused to provide any information and described it as “confidential company information.” Combined with questions related to personal family status, the compensation discussion felt uncomfortable and not aligned with a professional senior-level hiring process.
