I interviewed at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
Interview
was reached out to to schedule a video interview. Fairly easy, and went on to the next stage. Talked about background, my experiences, no real grilling.
Then, progressed to full day, on site interview. Talked with various members of the team, was given tour of facility. Members of the team asked about my resume, very generic questions and general engineering questions/problem solving approaches. Seemed to go well, and was given the impression I did well on the interview. I wasn't grilled super technically.
Was given the impression that the role needed to be filled quickly, and was told I'd be let known if I got the role within a week. I reached out a week later, and they said they hadn't come to a decision yet.
6 weeks go by, and still no response. I reach out again, and they say they still didn't come to a decision.
It has been several months now, and they have ghosted me since. Especially frustrating because i had to take a day of PTO for the interview.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (Menlo Park, CA) in Dec 2010
Interview
First had an interview over the phone with one person. Then went thru a number of interviews with a few individuals and a group of engineers. Most of these were very technical. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. A lot of technical questions on my background and experience as well.
