Very transparent and focus in the skills of the candidates, looking at how they fit in the actual position. There was a test to check our skills that we need to pass in order to get to the next stage.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at SLB (Houston, TX) in May 2015
Interview
Got a call from one of the managers that i use to work 2 years ago in a different schlumberger branch. They needed someone to start ASAP. They had to exemption approval because of hiring freeze. It took them 50 days from job offer, drug test, background test to give me a start date.

Interview
I interviewed for SBC not SLB. The whole process consists of 6 interviews grouped in 3 rounds of 2 interviews (they'll let you know if you made it to the next round). Depending on the location you are interviewing for the whole process can be done in one day or it can take up to 3 months....

Typical consulting case interviews. How many tennis balls can you fit in a plane? I want to buy a new business should I do it? etc... If you've done consulting case interviews or prepared for them you should be ok.
