I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SMA (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2018
Interview
I met briefly with a recruiting manager over the phone. He explained the process with me. Unfortunately I had several ongoing projects to complete prior to onboarding. I met with a senior writer and a senior proposal writer to discuss my background and the company. Very positive vibes.
I also filled out their resume profile software which was a tad tedious but worthwhile.
I think they will still send me for training before I go for my first assignment, but that's to be determined.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at SMA in Jan 2018
Interview
The SMA recruiter reached out to me weeks ago and was extremely helpful sheperding me through their process after her and my initial interview. As their model is slightly different (Talent on Demand), they have their own sort of 'LinkedIn' to fill out (which associates use to survey available positions). As my current job has been extremely busy, the recruiter was patient and helpful as I filled out my profile bit by bit. I appreciated her guidance throughout. I also interviewed with a current associate as well as a Vice President. Both interviews were enjoyable.
