Interview
Applied online, got zoom interview within 1-month, zoom interview for 30 minutes-complete silence (ghosting) for 2 months!
Have multiple years of teaching experience with strong record of publication with high citations relative to peers hired in similar capacity in university. Was told will be contacted about result of search, but did not hear anything for 2 months! Did not appreciate it. Also, interview process seems flawed, basing decisions for hiring over 30 minute Zoom interview (with a 10-15 minute teaching demonstration) and then completely ignoring candidates. Did not expect this from such a prestigious university-even small, regional universities with small budgets treat their candidates with more respect. They speak with you for 30-60 minutes and then bring you for on-campus interviews and constantly update you regarding subsequent steps. I felt I was under time-crunch during entire interview-imagine doing a PhD for 5-7 years and then sharing your thoughts on everything you have learned and understood within 15-20 minutes!
I understand the rejection, because it is very competitive, but I felt extremely disrespected by the department. If I treated anyone I wanted to hire or work with in a similar manner, they would never work for me.

Interview
Interview was 2 day long process. It consisted of emailing back and forth. Once the first screening was complete I was given a day to do class presentation. I lectured in a class that I would similarly be teaching in if I were hired. I was also interviewed by all the instructors currently teaching in the department. In addition to being interviewed by the department dean, and the school dean. So that was 3 sets of interviews in one day.
