The interview process was long and dragged out. The interviewer for the 1st round (virtual) was fine, but the interviewer for the 2nd round (on-site) was late, and kept interrupting me while I tried to answer her rapid-fire questions. For one of the questions, she interrupted me (after I'd said 1-2 lines) to say that my response didn't answer her question, but it's because she hadn't allowed me to finish. She also belittled me for my age and overall made me feel small. It was like she was on a power trip.
Surprisingly, after the interview, I got a call from the HR team saying that they are "working on an offer for me". I gave them my salary expectations and notice period. Then, one month went by with no news. I finally emailed for updates, and after 1 week, they told me that they were still interviewing candidates and there's "no outcome yet". I was extremely unimpressed by how they had misled me.
Also, during the job application process, the HR team emailed me a job application form. But they had mistakenly emailed me another candidate's filled out form with all her personal data. Instead of owning up to their mistake, they blamed it on a "system glitch".
Overall, my impression of the company (especially its HR and Corp Comms departments) is that it's unethical, ageist and toxic. Would never again apply for a job at ST Engineering.
