We are sorry for this misunderstanding. It is our philosophy to treat all our candidates fairly. A total of 4 out of our 12 recently hired interns came from the same graduate program from your school and we are fairly familiar with the curriculum. The interview is also an opportunity for the intern candidate to see our facility, meet the hiring manager and ask questions to ensure that the opportunity is the right fit for them as well, especially in your case since you disclosed prior to the site interview that you already had another job offer. Unfortunately, after your interview, we couldn't obtain approval for the 13th internship slot which we had in mind for you and as mentioned in the email to you, the last approved internship slot was offered within the same week of your interview (and not 2 weeks prior as you had mentioned). Again we apologize for the misunderstanding. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
