Initial communication was via email and the response time was quick. I interviewed in-person for first interview separately with the department head for an hour and person to whom the position reports for a bit over an hour. Both were welcoming and friendly, and asked clear direct questions. I got a great sense of the company from them. The questions were not difficult if you were familiar with the role, which I was. I did not feel interrogated.
Prior to leaving the interview, I received feedback on our interaction and clear expectation regarding next steps and timing.
As stated, I was asked to return for a second interview. Again, i was given clear expectations regarding timeframes and other details inckuding the names and roles of the interviewing panel. This time, I would meet with managers of other departments in addition to the two I'd originally met. There were 5 in the room and one participating remotely. As with the first interview, I felt like I was having a typical work conversation with friendly colleagues. It was evident by each person's prepared questions that they were all knowledgeable and competent. The questions and conversation flowed naturally. I got the sense that those in the room had a fondness and respect for one another and worked well together.
From beginning to end, it was a refreshingly awesome experience.
