There isn't necessarily an interview for the Teaching Assistantship position, just the portfolio, resume and cover letter describing why one is a better candidate to assist the professor compared to other students. The professor upon reviewing the overall profile will get back if they deem the student to be a good fit. However, they may even consider interviewing additionally as part of the process.
