Interview
Virtual interview, company overview, a few general questions. I was then asked about future vacation plans for the next 6 months. I was also asked about my preferred pronouns, and then finally I was shown the very strict dress code policy and was asked if I was okay with it.
A company that has a strict (and very dated) dress code but at the same time tries to be "with the times" by asking about pronouns. Sounds like a bit of an identity crisis to me.

Interview
The initial interview by phone and zoom chat was great and everyone seemed really nice. The position actually seemed like a very good fit and so they invited me out to New York to interview in person with the team. I was a bit jet-lagged because the trip was kind of last-minute but I thought it went well.
However, I didn't get the position and was not given much of a reason why but whatever, no biggie. They paid for the flight and hotel and I was told they would pay for any other expenses I had i.e. Taxi, Subway, Uber, etc. Well, I have not been repaid for those at any point. They have just decided to ignore the nice reminder email I sent. Now, granted this is not a huge amount of money but it is more a matter of principle. A company should do what they say they are going to even if they disliked me? Anyway, I always say rejection is god's protection. If this is an indication of how they treat people then I'm all good.

Interview
They were really nice at first. They flew me out to New York for an in-person interview. It was the middle of summer and really not fun but that's beside the point. They did not reimburse me for all the expenses like they said they would and then just dropped off the face of the planet after my interview. I feel like they had someone that an employee referred that was favored over me. Anyway, kind of weird and a waste of time.
