To be honest, I had a fairly poor candidate experience. The interviewer seemed disengaged and inattentive I was quite surprised not to be passed along to the next interview stage as I was a genuinely qualified candidate. Nonetheless, I understand these are competitive positions and I am sure there are quite a few candidates. What made this a very disappointing experience was that the interviewer stated she would get back to me by a certain day....and then didn't. She ghosted me, which was surprising as new start-ups usually respect candidate experience. Why not just get back to people and let them know that another candidate was selected? It's just not respectful of our time and creates a poor impression of the organization.
