I applied online. I interviewed at Sage (Washington, DC) in Apr 2023
Interview
I met with the recruiter/HR rep, and was referred for a 1:1 interview. The remote job said on the job description that occasional overnight travel was required. When I asked the HR rep what that meant, she did not know. Which was a waste of time for me, since I have several competing offers and travel requirements are really important to know about up front. After emailing to follow up on details, it was revealed that 20% of travel was required for the role, up to a week at a time. The job description needs to be updated so we don't waste our time applying to jobs we don't want to do but the job descriptions are worded vaguely. Additionally, they wanted data analysis skills but the pay rate was not competitive for those additional skills.

Question 1
Talk about difficulty at work, how to handle conflict, discuss a problem at work that you overcame, the usual questions.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback regarding your interview experience with Sage. While we strive to create a positive candidate experience for everyone, we clearly fell short with your experience. The percentage of travel time is a job requirement that our recruiting and management teams should be able to confidently confirm, and our job descriptions should cite this information before proceeding with interviews. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us, and we will use it to help us improve our interviewing processes.
