I applied online and received a text message within days to schedule an interview. The times they allowed me to choose from were more than a week out, but we promptly scheduled the interview. I followed up with the text message on the day before my interview to confirm day/time/location. They responded and answered my questions. I showed up for my interview and introduced myself to the lady at the front desk to let her know why I was there. She walked in the back office and returned less than a minute later. She informed me that the position was no longer available and that someone was supposed to contact me. I’ve never been stood up on an interview, but it was one of the most embarrassing and rotten things a hiring manager could do to another human being. It’s an even worse look when the manager didn’t even have the decency or respect to walk out of the office and explain the situation further.
