I phone interviewed for a VP of HR position in 2020. The woman I spoke with did a nice job of laying out what to expect if taking on the role. She also shared a good history of the position and others that held the role and the challenges they faced, which I very much appreciated. Really painted a good picture. In the initial communication from them as well as during the phone interview there was description of their process and that they pride themselves on updating candidates on their status one way or another. I thought that was really great because a lot of employers aren't great at follow up communication. However, I never heard from them again after the phone interview. Struck me as odd that they would tout their great communication and then proceed to ghost. Other than that it was an organized process.
