Salesforce takes hiring employees very seriously. Even with an excellent reference I had about 10 interviews & discussions. You also need to present in front of a panel of RVPs from different divisions. I am actually impressed by their process as I was challenged and really feel like I earned the job I have today. They really don't want to let the wrong people in which is impressive.
