The interview was for an intern role. First, I had two 30-minute phone interviews with data scientists on the team. They were mainly interested in my interests and experience. We talked about my courses, projects, and work experience. A week later, I had an hour-long technical phone interview in which the interviewer asked various questions on statistics and machine learning concepts. We delved into the topic of attrition/churn modeling and discussed what data I would use, what models would be appropriate, and how I would measure the performance of those models. My final interview was a 30-minute phone interview with a VP, who wanted to know why I was interested in the team and determine if I was a good fit. More than just testing my technical competencies, they were interested in learning about my passions and personality, which I appreciated! I left with a great impression of the Salesforce culture.
