I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Salesforce (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2021
Interview
Interviewing with Salesforce was the most unorganized, confusing, and exhausting experience I've had thus far. The recruiter reached out to me directly and I started speaking with a sales VP in the Growth department.
After determining that maybe wasn't the best fit, she worked with me to identify another opportunity that may be more inline with what I was looking for. Except this just ended up being conversation after conversation with leaders who had no idea what was going on.
I had a great conversation with a VP of mid-market (?) I think I honestly was so confused with their different products, departments, leaders, etc. Then I spoke to a female manger who has been with the company for about 5+ years and I can honestly say I've never spoken to someone so uninterested in interviewing a canidate- it was shocking. She was dull, rude and brought no substance to the call.
Not to mention, the recruiter never got the times right. I was shocked that at a company as large as SFDC- they don't even double check emails/or times. She was based on the east coast and was scheduling interviews across three time zones- yet they were all the wrong time. Meaning for 2 of my interviews they asked where I was and she said "OMG I'm SOOOO SORRY!" and asked if I could hop on the call an hour early.
It was a nightmare to say the least and after getting invited to the final rounds, I politely withdrew my application and could not be more happy that I did.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Who is number one on your team? If it's not you then why.
Why are your colleagues where they are and why are you where you are?
Recruiter missed multiple interviews only to tell me they have no positions only.
6 months later I receive an interview invite with pay $20k lower than originally discussed
Manager arrives late to the interview then cuts the time early. Company seems disorganized and difficult to take seriously as a so called leader in SaaS.

pretty easy interview. Had to do a case. It felt like it was just a formality and they put me up to it to fit into their standard processes. Not the best experience but it is what it is
