I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Bangkok) in Feb 2018
Interview
It has been a while between my interview and being accepted on-board so I will try and recount as best as possible. The interview process was quite straight forward and fast paced. Please note, I was a referral so my experience might be a little different from others.
After my application, I was contacted by the HR representative in which they laid out the process. We communicated via phone call and emails since.
This was followed quickly (within 2 weeks) by face-to-face interviews by two Account Executives over afternoon tea. We proceeded to get to know each other with basic questions to assess my qualifications. Mainly however, it was more of an interview to see our compatibility in working together since I would be working closely with them.
After their feedback was given to our hiring manager, I finally got into the final stage interview with him (hiring manager). After several reschedules, we final had a chance to converse via VDO conference (since he was based in Singapore and I was currently working in Thailand). The final interview was quite straight forward, more so to confirm that what he has heard about me was in fact true. At the end, after he mentioned he did want me on-board, we moved to processing my offer.
Overall, the interview took about 4-5 weeks. Hiring took about 6 months due to some delays but that was beyond their control. In the end, "be patient" is the key. I am sure others will have different experiences, but all in all I had a positive one.

Question 1
Due to the fact I came from a fairly different industry, I had to make links on similar processes in the function I applied to. Therefore, do not get discouraged if you feel you do not come from the same industry as long as you can show that you can do the job based on your skills. As a salesman, they were quite interested in my achievements and how I managed to overcome the obstacles to win the accounts. Therefore, do prepare to explain this part. If I was a hiring manager, I would be inclined to want to know how these achievements were met.
