Interview
Applied online and got a quick response from the HR recruiter. The recruiter was professional, courteous and quick to respond, and thoughtfully included some compensation info up front. However, it turned out the pay range and OTE she quoted was a total, not separate amounts. While the recruiter took pains to make it clear that this is a budgetary consideration and not a statement of value on the candidates, it's indefensible for a company to try to fill skilled/experienced mid-level roles for less than 40% the typical industry average, and less pay than typical entry-level positions. I hope they reconsider the value they place on this type of role. Considering it was the first subject the recruiter brought up, I get the strong impression this is feedback they've received frequently before.
