First spoke with someone in HR, then had a telephone interview with regional manager followed by a phone interview with regional director. The starting salary for this position was in the upper 50's and I had been earning $85K. The organization would have paid for my relocation. Ultimately I decided not to pursue the position, but it wasn't because of low salary. After a phone interview with the regional manager and then the regional director, it was evident that the organization would be too rigid and confining for my personality and work style. There would have been very little opportunity for advancement. There would have also been 120 days of travel annually at about 2 weeks for each trip. That was more than I wanted to travel. I think Samaritan's Purse is a wonderful organization it just wouldn't have been a good fit for me.
