I spoke with a recruiter for an initial 30 minute interview. My interpretation was that the conversation went well, especially since the recruiter specifically told me he'd like me to speak with the hiring manager as next steps. After a couple days, I heard nothing back even after I followed up with a thank you email.
Then the following day, I received an automated response from Samsara with a generic email stating the typical "After reviewing your application, we have decided not to move forward at this time." etc
I find this treatment rather appalling and disrespectful after I invested my time preparing to speak with the recruiter and received positive feedback from the recruiter during the conversation. If this is how candidates are treated, I would not want to work for this company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Samsara in Oct 2025

Interview
Very well organized and thorough. Each interview was targeted towards specific company principles. Each interviewer did a great job asking thoughtful questions and not sugarcoating the challenges. Had to do a presentation to the hiring manager and director.
