I got a call from recruiter ( not adding name). She spoke about my experience and mentioned she will setup a call with hiring manager. She asked my expected salary and I was not comfortable sharing it , so I mentioned I’m expecting an industry standard. She keep pushing me to give her my salary number and I straight away told I’m not sharing it, I felt after her tone changed totally. I got an automated reply today that I’m not a good fit. Seriously, on call your recruiter said she will setup a hiring call as next step. If goal is to ask salary and if you can’t match then do some homework if you are in hiring industry.
