Expected specialist skills with years of experience for an executive role (different from JD) - was stating how they had no time to train new people as they are very busy and "a team of champions". Kept prompting me for experience on deeper analytic skills when my resume was already in their hands, not sure why they can't just state that they are looking for a specialist? So both of our times were not wasted? They were outspokenly biased against Gen Zs and did not like the idea of work life balance (not keen on hiring "Gen Zs who go for yoga after work and expect to be spoon fed at work" and was proud of team culture that glorified OT - "we usually try to end by 7". Director literally said "I'm running a business not a childcare"... Felt that these statements were unprofessional and weird especially when I'm not even a Gen Z (they were assuming that I am) and I was being polite the whole time and engaging in the interview questions, just like a normal interviewee would do. I'm glad these behaviours were revealed in the earlier stage rather than later.
