Interview
Step 1: Online Test
A 3 hour coding test on Samsung's Competency Software. On a chessboard, coordinates of stones were given and a knight was used to collect the stones. We were to give the number of maximum possible stones that could be collected

Review of Samsung R&D Noida Internship Interview Process
I recently went through the internship interview process at Samsung R&D Noida. The process was structured into three rounds, each designed to test a different aspect of a candidate’s skills and personality.
Round 1 – Pen-and-Paper Coding Test
The first round was a traditional pen-and-paper based coding test. The main problem was similar to the well-known 2-egg problem (a variation of the classic egg-dropping puzzle), which tested both analytical thinking and coding clarity.
Round 2 – Technical Interview
The second round was a deep technical discussion covering:
Core computer science fundamentals
Object-Oriented Programming concepts
Around 3–4 Data Structures & Algorithms problems to be solved live on the spot
Most of the DSA questions revolved around trees, graphs, and linked lists, so strong command over these topics was essential. The interviewer also tested the ability to explain and optimize solutions.
Round 3 – HR Interview
The final round was with HR and was a mix of personal and analytical assessment.
Questions about my background, family, and motivations
Finally, a puzzle was given. The interesting part was that the same puzzle was explored progressively, with the interviewer increasing its complexity step by step. This was more about logical reasoning, adaptability, and how I approached problems under evolving constraints.
Overall Impression
The process was well-designed to evaluate both technical competence and problem-solving approach while also checking the candidate’s cultural fit and communication skills. It felt rigorous but fair, and the gradual build-up from coding to puzzles kept the experience engaging.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Question of linked lists, trees and graphs. Be ready for one traversal based question either bfs or dfs related.

Interview
It was a OA, technical interview and HR interview process,
OA had a medium graph problem that you can get on internet by searching in company name, interview was an all round process, i was asked about CS fundamentals, Projects and a medium DSA problem
