The interview itself went well: we discussed the position, my experience, the culture, etc., and the recruiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Towards the end of the call she asked if I’d be interested in moving to the next round of interviews—an hour Zoom call with the Program Director. I agreed and we scheduled it for the very next day. However, later in the day I was emailed by the recruiter and informed that they wouldn’t be moving forward with my candidacy. Period. So, long story long: don’t get excited if the recruiter tells you you’re scheduled for another interview—they may change their mind hours after your call.
