Was contacted by a headhunter. I was intrigued that there'd be an A/V company on the Cape, as was the prospect of potentially moving there. So I went through with things.
First round was a phone screen with an engineer out in Portland, OR (seems they had a sister company out there). That went well.
Then spent a whole day onsite for the F2F. I expressed my interest in the job, and working on the Cape. I just wasn't ready to move down there. They said they'd be cool with me working remote (part-time).
A short time later, I was told they were going to pass on me. Saying something I wouldn't be a "team" player. Well, if someone says they'd love working and living on the Cape, as to why they interviewing there in the first place...if that's not being a team player, then what is. To be fair, I did notice something didn't quite add up with this company either.
Anyway, read the recent employee reviews. They validate my instincts, and I'm glad I didn't join them.
