1. Phone Screen
2. Hiring Manager interview
3. Interview w/ Head of Finance
4. Take home assignment and final round with COO, COS, and CEO
Every interview centered on their critical need to improve their company culture. They openly shared stories of racism, sexism, female employees leaving due to lack of psychological safety, and more. Everyone I spoke to seems to have a very clear understanding of the root cause of these problematic behaviors, but they emphasize that the team causing these challenges is essentially "untouchable" and must be pandered to.
Each interview started late, conversations felt almost combative at times, and the CEO asked questions appropriate for entry-level candidates. However, I can say that the individual who coordinated the interviews was absolutely lovely!
Overall, the interview experience highlighted a lack of strong and accountable leadership. They're building a culture that promotes revenue at the expense of employee well-being and safety.
I would suggest future candidates proceed with caution.
