I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scholastic in Jul 2013
Interview
Phone pre-screen, Two in-person interviews. The panel interview included the incumbent, a manager and the President. HR was involved in a pre-screening interview which is quite typical. HR prepared the offer and did the on-boarding. Overall, it was a fairly typical interview without many surprises. The information in the job description varied from the actual job once inside of the role.
Initial phone interview. Seemed very interested in me. Scheduled first interview met with HR and Sales Manager. Interest in how I would manage sales team. Questions indicated high interest in your motivation and how you motivate others to perform at their best. Was told they would narrow down to two candidates and I would be contacted by end of week regarding next step in process. Never heard back so I followed up the next week. Finally got to talk to sales manager was told I was not one of finalists. Day after I called and talked to sales manager a letter was sent to me telling me that I was not a finalist in interview process.
