I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Scholastic (Saint Charles, IL) in Aug 2011
Interview
I was interviewed once, and the interviewer never even looked at my resume. The interview was basically a conversation about our children and time spent in Wisconsin, and at then end I was given the job. I was never asked to sign a contract of any kind, never received an employee handbook, and started with only a vague idea of the expectations for my position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was questioned about my child - how old he was, what I was doing for child care, etc.
It was very laid back and easy. It was like having a conversation about skills and experience. It did not have to have 3 interviews to get the position. It was a normal process in getting a job.
