The interview process was very long and drawn out. I was first contacted by a recruiter and had a brief initial phone screen. The recruiter then contacted me again a week and a half later to discuss the position in more detail. After another week, I had a 90 minute phone interview with the hiring manager, which was mostly focused on high level technical concepts.
Prior to the phone screen, I was asked to work on a coding project with multiple components, ranging from software development to testing. This was very time consuming and not viable for an individual who currently has a full-time, salaried job. After the phone interview, I was asked to completed yet another project, which took several more days of my time.
The final interview was a six hour process with multiple people and was very repetitive. It was time consuming, repetitive and forced me to repeat the exact same information to the same individuals I had talked to previously. There were multiple follow-up calls even after the interview, leading me to believe the company was purposfully trying to draw things out as long as possible.
I ended up turning down the role due to poor pay and the negative impression the company gave me. I would not recommened SEL for anything more than a company that will give you some introductory experience.
