I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2018
Interview
Consisted of phone interview and two in-person interviews. Also was asked about knowledge about industry (ex. financial news, markets). Lots of behavioural - second round specifically focused a lot on fit.
One way interviews are tough to get right if you’re not prepared enough or you are not in a very comfortable setting. Prepare and read over your resume multiple times to not get caught off guard or panic
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Scotiabank
Interview
Pretty straightforward. Interviewers were very nice and questions were mostly behavioural. Technical questions were not overly complex, and tested thought process and ability to think on the spot more than heavy technical knowledge.
The first round was Group coffee chat. It is in a group of 10-12 people. It is virtual. It is semi-formal round just to introduce each other and expalining the further rounds and how internship works in the company.
