I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Nanaimo, BC) in Feb 2022
Interview
2 Interview Process. One with the recruiter which was a fairly informal interview, mostly getting to know you, learn about your experiences and how they relate to the role and trying to figure out fit. 2nd interview was with a branch manager and area manager and was more specific and difficult questions about specific skills and knowledge of banking processes, financial processes and client engagement.

Question 1
Most questions were not routine questions. They had questions prepared to test knowledge of how banking and their process as a business advisor goes. Know how you can relate your past experiences to be successful in the role, and they were interested a lot in how you handle client interactions. Most questions though were derived on spot based off of things you said. They would often say something like "so you mentioned... can you expand upon that or tell us how that relates or how you dealt with that..."
The interview process was comfortable, but highly subjective. It consisted of a phone screening interview with an HR specialist, and then an in person interview with the Hiring Manager and the Regional Manager in the form of a loosely structured conversation. I received a personal call from the Hiring Manager with feedback. All of it happened within a three week time frame.

Question 1
Q: Do you feel that you can adapt to working in a highly structured environment?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Ottawa, ON)
Interview
2 person interview -- very discussion based with the second person doing note-taking.
Also met with District Manager via request but doubt this is a standard part of the interview process.
