Online application, then aptitude tests, then video interview and finally assessment centre. The online portion was all very standard, the assessment centre was the first I had been to, however it was a very positive experience. The day was split up into a few segments, there was about 8 candidates in total and in the morning 4 went for a competency based interview and 4 were given a document which had loads of data relating to the implementation of smart meters, had stuff about every department in the company ranging from the cost of installation to how many complaints the company receives and about what, was really in depth. You were given half an hour to prepare a solo talk which you then had to deliver to 2 managers in a meeting type scenario, was basically a role play. After that, the two groups swapped so presentation people had their competency based interview and vice versa. In the afternoon there was a group activity with all 8 people. You were again given a data sheet which talked about 5 different technologies that the company wanted to implement, one was solar panels, one was hydro-electric, one was trees that acted like wind turbines and a few others. You were given 15 mins to read over it and make notes then had to come to a group consensus about which thing would be the best to implement
