      Analyst Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Scout Motors

      Interview

I had two rounds of interviews for an Analyst, Ramp-up Steering role. The process seemed promising — the hiring manager wasn’t even based in the U.S. (likely Europe, since Scout is backed by Volkswagen), so I didn’t expect sponsorship to be an issue. I never got any clear feedback or reason for rejection, even after following up. Later I found out it was because of visa sponsorship, which was never communicated. That was frustrating and disappointing especially after investing time and genuinely wanting to be part of the team.

      Question 1

One of the questions was: “What are three things in your life that you no longer want to chase?” It was a very personal, open-ended behavioral question and not what I expected at all based on the earlier communication, I was surprised the interview was very behavioral-heavy, even though I was told it would be more situational or technical.
