I applied through other source. I interviewed at Scribd Inc.
Interview
I was reached out to by Scribd to schedule an interview. I responded positively, and selected the earliest available time slot for the interview. I showed up a few minutes early to the Google meet only sit there by myself for over 20 minutes. I emailed the person who reached out to me but never got a response. Scribd no-called and no-showed to an interview they requested.

Other Senior Software Engineer Interview Reviews for Scribd Inc.
Went through several stages, talks with hiring manager, technical challenges, architecture review etc. They provided me with prep beforehand which was appreciated. I was very honest with my salary expectations which were within what they advertised online and why I applied.
Throughout my interview process people were friendly but they kinda all seemed a bit soulless, like maybe this job had taken the light out of their eyes.
When I finished what I thought was the final interview I didn’t hear back immediately as I had before but I assumed it was because I wasn’t getting an offer. I finish up interviewing with another company and got an offer from them. That afternoon scribd finally also reached out to schedule a call. They said that they are still discussing making an offer and I inform them of my timeline and also my salary offer. They say that they wouldn’t be able to come in close to that based on my interview performance and location (location was never mentioned in their job listing as effecting pay) but the recruiter was still trying to sell me that scribd would be a better place to work so I encourage her to let me know what they could offer because I am still interested. The recruiter than proceeds to ghost me completely, no rejection letter or anything. Several months later she accidentally messaged me on LinkedIn encouraging me to apply to the same role.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Scribd Inc.
Interview
I was contacted by an in house recruiter about the role. I setup a call to discuss the role, but the recruiter did not join the call. I sent and email to see if they wanted to reschedule and did not hear back. About a week later I received an email asking me to fill out a diversity survey. 10 minutes after filling out the survey, I received another email telling me the position was filled. I think this was just an unfortunate setting in the company's ATS, but it really gave the impression of being rejected based on information I had provided about my gender, age, veteran and disability status.
