Interview
The interview process was fairly standard (call with the hiring manager, call with a recruiter, and two technical phone screens) but what was not standard was the fact that everyone I interfaced during the process was a white male (recruiter, hiring manager, 2 data scientists for the first tech screen and 2 data scientists for the second tech screen). I thought this was odd so I asked around in ny network to see if they actually had a diverse team but I found out that the Scribd data science team is pretty much 95% white males. This is pretty unacceptable for a company their size (I believe they have over 15 data scientists). I ended up taking a job where there is more diversity because I'm a minority and I would not want to work on a team with such little balance.
The recruiter was nice but he took forever to respond.
Unrealistic expectations from the beginning on what they are looking for in a candidate. They expected a candidate that have more experience and a similar skillset to what the organization is looking for.

The interview process is very lengthy and disorganized. I would not trust them given that their recruiters were being elusive and trying to play mind games with me. They left me hanging for three weeks and decided to reject me. No respect for my time. Don't apply unless you want to waste your time.
