and a 1-1 interview with an engineer and they went well. Last step was on-site and my four interviews were good, I had a great discussion with hiring manager and I felt really good about the experience and I was positive that I will get the offer since they mentioned we need people form 0 to 6 years experience and we need to hire 6 people in next few months and the team wasn't diverse at all and I could add a value to the team for both gender and minority. Finally, the recruiter contacted me and said although everyone were positive about you personally and professionally but we can't offer you the job. I was soooo disappointed because I really liked to work in this company!!!!
The story didn't end here, they contacted me one month later for another position and I was sure that they are positive about me since that reached out themselves again. I went to onsite directly and had 2 short interviews which was very great and easier than the previous one, but recruiter cancelled my last call with VP and contacted me a week later and told me the same thing he said last time "The team were positive but this is not a good time for us to hire you (because of COVID19 )".
Long story short, they don't actually intend to hire! I really felt I wasted my time and I've been played multiple time because my interviews were good and I spent a lot of time to practice and interview while I was a full-time engineer. If you want to hire a senior person you shouldn't mention 0-2 years experience in job description drag me to the last interview step.
