I applied online. I interviewed at Scribd Inc. in Jan 2024
Interview
I applied on their site and was contact by a recruiter about a week later asking for my availability to schedule a call.
"Our team is looking forward to chat about next steps!" She said.
I provided my availability and no response.
I waited a few more days and sent a follow up email. Still no response.
I'm not sure if this was a mistake on their end or just they're plain unprofessional but it looks like I'm not the only one this has happened to.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Scribd Inc. (Toronto, ON)
Interview
start with recruiter screening - hiring manager - virtual onsite. hiring manager went over the team and then asked few behavioral questions. In virtual onsite there will be 2 rounds coding and system design
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
what are the projects you have worked on previously?
The interview went okay. Mostly behavioural questions were asked in first interview. I could gauge that internal team structure was missing and probably the interview was a front to hire someone internal. Received an email 15 minutes after the first interview that they have hired someone else.
The interview formats were typical, though most rounds felt very disorganized and unprepared. I was made to feel very confident that I was going to receive an offer after the final rounds, and then fence posts kept moving until I was told otherwise. I left feeling that my time was wasted by the recruiter, and that the company's standards for professionalism were quite low.
