I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ScribeAmerica (Gainesville, FL) in Nov 2015
Interview
Very casual. They asked me why I wanted to work in an ED, what experience I had working in fast-paced environments, and whether I wanted to go into healthcare long-term. I also had to do a wpm typing test.
After applying online with my resume, I had a 30 minute call with the hiring manager about the position. We discussed the job, my overall career goals, and expectations for the role. It was very straight forward and mostly focused on how being a scribe would support my future in the health care environment .
Had a one-on-one interview with the chief scribe of the hospital I applied for. Questions included why do you want to be a scribe, prior work experience, and experience handling stress/multiple tasks.
