I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Very easy. Getting paid $10.80/hour. Seasonal. Great for college students, for I am one lol
Apply online and if you pass you get to pick your interview date/time.
Interview was with 12 other people. 2 tables split with 6 people each. There is one interviewer but 2 other people who are watching you do the interview.
First thing we did was grab a stuffed animal, dolphin, elmo, shark, polar bear etc etc and say your name, what position you are applying for and why you chose that stuffed animal. Then the interviewer hands you a small little box of legos and you either build A: rocket ship B: race car. You get around 3 minutes to complete the task. After the interviewer will let you hand pick 2 cards, these are scenario cards and you and your team will have to talk and figure out how you will handle that guest and what ever it is that have going on with them. You will have about 5 minutes for this task. After 2 group members from each group, 4 in total, will read and explain how you execute your plan on helping that guest. After that, the interview is done and the interviewer will bring everyone back out into the lobby and tell you guys to wait 3-5 minutes to call you back in. If you get called in then you either get A: the job or B: they will tell you they will e-mail you within 3-5 days. B means you didn't get the job. After they call you in you set up your date for a follow up where you will do a drug test and sign paperwork then do some bs on the computer. After that will be company orientation the first day of training the next day then you are off to start working.
Tip: SMILE and TALK and BE COMFORTABLE talking during the interview. They are looking for people who can talk and not be shy because obviously you are going to be talking to guest at SeaWorld/Aquatica
Good luck everyone!
