I applied online via careers.seaworldparks.com. The application was for a seasonal position, but it was a regular, run of the mill application. At the end of the application, I was given several dates and times to choose an interview. Directly after chosing a date/time and submitting the application, I was sent a confirmation email confirming the interview time, stating that the interview was an "observational" interview. When I arrived at the Human Resources building at my scheduled time, I was told to sign in and was given a name tag. There were about a dozen other applicants waiting in the waiting room. We were shown a small tour and later taken to a room where the group interview took place. We were split into two groups and participated in three activities. The introdocution activity was basically just writing our names on a small piece of paper and drawing three pictures describing you. The second activity was a word jumble to see how well you work with others in a team. The third activity was a scenario activity. Each group chose two scenarios and together each team discussed how you would handle them. It was fairly easy and took about 10-15 minutes. After this we were taken back to the waiting area for about 10 minutes and a woman came in and said if she called our names, to go into a small hallway and wait for further directions. After she called everyones name, she told us that we were all selected for employment and filled out some paperwork. After we filled out the paperwork, we went into a small room and were given a packet with our job descriptions and orientation/training dates on them and the woman explained each paper (this took about 20-25 minutes). After this we were given the option to do the drug screening/wardrobe that same day or come back tomorrow before 4:30. This process was probably the longest. The two women took the two 19+ older applicants to get them fingerprinted, and then we all did the drug test (a cottonball on a stick in your mouth for 10 minutes. After that I went to wardrobe and was given a uniform to try on. Both the shirt and pants did not fit (these uniforms were brand new) so I ended up going up one size for the shirt and two sizes in pants (I originally chose shorts but switched to pants after seeing they were knee length). I didn't leave the parking lot until after 3:30. It was an extremely long process but pretty worth it in the end.
