I applied in January and finally received a call in late April. Interviewer called and explained everything about the summer seasonal job before the phone screen. They said it pays $17 an hour, work begins at 7am then 6am during hotter months, and it would be a combination of graphic design and working in their sign shop. I questioned if the pay was negotiable, to which they asked what pay I preferred. I did not proceed with the phone screen because I was driving at the time, however, the interviewer said they would call me within an hour. They never called. After calling HR three times the following day and being transferred to some department, I left a message with someone. I never received a call in the end from anyone. I believe questioning the pay left a bad taste in their mouth, but never calling back after saying they would was unprofessional.
