I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Seagate Technology (Shakopee, MN) in Jun 2012
Interview
The interview process was fairly easy. It was a one-day interview where I met with a lead engineer from the group, the group manager, and the director for the group. After those three interviews I got a tour of the building where I got to know some of the people I interviewed a little better.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were very much just "get to know you" kind of questions. There was a couple questions asking me about what I did in school and what interested me. Some questions asking about my future and where I saw myself. It was very much an interview to test my personality.
Remote interview with two senior engineers, asked five questions overall. Were very nice and easy to talk to, gave some great background on the factory and why these roles needed to be filled immediately.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Seagate Technology (Derry, Northern Ireland) in Feb 2025
Interview
Mix of behaviour based, past experience and how it's relevant, and motivation for joining the company /pursuing the role in particular. Not overly technical. Less than 1 hour. Overall a reasonably straight forward interview
The interview process was pretty smooth. There was a panel of interviewers that consist of HR and the department head, as my potential reporting officer. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for me.
