Sears Buyers Apprentice interview questions

I applied online and was contacted for a phone interview a few days later. The phone interview went well and I was offered the opportunity to fly to Hoffman Estates for the in-person interview. We also had to complete a store visit and answer a few questions prior to the interview. There was a 2:1 HR and 2:1 Buyer Interview, retail math test, and case study. The process took 4 hours and went by fairly fast. We were also given a 30 minute tour of the facilities. The Case Study was by far the most awkward experience. They give you a department and you have to argue why you feel your department should receive funding. Meanwhile, all the people that you met with sit in a room and watch you debate and listen to other interviewees. They told us we would hear back within two weeks. I heard back within 3 days that I did not get the position. Which I was ok with. Sears is not doing well so job security was a major concern of mine. It is a great interview because if you can get through this you are more than ready for any other buying opportunities.

Then several weeks later, I was contacted to do a phone interview, which was about 30 mins, and was relatively straight forward. A couple of weeks after the phone interview, I was told they wanted to do an in-person interview. The in-person interview consisted of a retail math test, 2 different interviews which consisted of 2 interviewers, and a case-study where they put you at a table with 3 other interviewees and gave you a retail scenario and told you to argue your case and to come to a conclusion together as a team.
