I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Sears (Fayetteville, NC) in Dec 2015
Interview
I was sent an email for a phone interview first. Once I passed that interview I was immediately set up for a face-to-face interview in store with a manager. The interview was pretty quick I was asked basic behavioral questions and questions about any related work experience and was given a description of the job and shown around the store. I received a call back within a week.

So for my interview I first met with the Home Improvement Manager. We sat in one of the offices and he went over the job description and pay and answered some of the basic interview questions.
