This is pretty much the layout for every Sendik's interview. The interviews generally take a half hour (phone) and 1 hour (in person). Basically, if you show up, are reasonably dressed, and aren't drunk or stoned, you get the job. No drug testing here and no background check (as far as I could tell).

Question 1
There are no unexpected questions. if you've ever worked in a grocery store or retail sales you're good to go. They ask about a good experience you've had with coworkers, a time you went out of your way to help a coworker or customer, and why you want to work there. That's basically it.

Interview
The day after I submitted my application, HR contacted me for a phone interview. Questions were easy, stuff about teamwork and problem solving. Right then we set up an in person interview for my store, where I met with the store manager and the deli manager. Asked me about what I know about Sendik's, do I work well on a team, in a fast paced environment. Was hired on the spot.
