I applied online. I interviewed at Sendlane (San Diego, CA) in Sep 2020
Interview
Interview was quite positive. I was interviewed by the VP of HR. I had a good experience. I was also given a general overview of the role and what I could expect.
Interviewed in the fall. After being told how impressive my background and resume were, I was instructed to complete a 'culture index' survey which consisted of two pages of 100s of adjectives, for you to select that 'describe you'. This immediately qualifies or disqualifies a candidate. I have never seen such an absurd and ridiculous process. I love tech, I love data, but it is literally impossible to know if someone is a goof fit based on a rudimentary set of adjectives.
