I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SeniorCare EMS (New York, NY) in Jan 2017
Interview
It was like a hiring day, except it was at their base. All candidates had to take a written skills test, similar to the state certification exam but also behavioral field questions. After the test, I was interviewed by the branch manager and was informed of my acceptance for the initial stage. The training had begun and went on for 2.5 weeks. We were introduced to the governing bodies and had to pass a road test, driving and parking the ambulance as per the presentational training. We only had two attempts for the driving test, and afterwards, I acquired my id and got the role.

It was straightforward and it didn't feel intimidating. It was more like a conversation than a hard interview. They just asked basic questions. Everyone was super nice. Overall, it was a positive experience.
Easy, quick, generic interview questions. I applied and received an interview offer very quickly. The interviewer was a base manager and he was very chill and easy-going. It felt more like a casual conversation than an official interview.
