Interview
The interview process was a quick and well structured one. There was first a discovery and role-fit video call with the recruiter who was very professional, friendly, and helpful.
I then proceeded to interview with a Director of Engineering and potential line manager. This stage was focused more on my technical depth, rigor, problem solving skills and other non-technical skills since I was going for a senior cross functional role.
The next stage was were I met a senior engineer in the team I will be joining, and we did a live coding exercise. Once I passed this stage, I had an offer conversation with the recruiter and I signed the offer after reviewing it and getting answers to my many questions.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I could tell that the company is deliberate about people and process

Question 1
At the stage with the Director of Engineering, I was given a problem scenario and asked to design an API backend for it. The solution was to cover the endpoints, request/response data, controller logic, database schema, and SQL statements to fulfil a particular search scenario.
At the next stage, I was asked to live code the solution to 3 quick but interesting Node/JavaScript problems that were related to the business domain of the company. I also had to discuss the time and space complexities of my solution, and how I might improve if I had to

Interview
We had a pre-screening session explaining the process and the position. Then an interview with the direct manager, reviewing curriculum, and a few technical questions. The third round was a technical (coding) interview with an engineer, solving problems using code.

Question 1
Design a system to allow real-time booking park access considering a maximum amount of simultaneous visitors at the same time.
I applied for this position and received an offer all within a few working days.
1. Initial zoom call and screen with Sean from talent team. Extremely cool, nice guy that told me about the position. and interview process.
2. Technical interview with an engineer from the backend team.
3. Culture fit and design interview with Director of Engineering.
I wasn't as senior as they wanted, so they offered an intermediate role. Unfortunately, I couldn't justify the lateral move, so I had to decline.

Technical interview included a question related to parsing data out of an array of objects, following by a couple of questions regarding Javascript fundamentals.
Design interview involved describing approach to designing the API for a sample application.
