I recently had a series of interviews for a position that left me feeling disappointed. During the initial telephone interview, the manager did not show up, and the architect conducting the interview seemed unprepared, having not even looked at my resume beforehand. Despite this, the conversation was pleasant and engaging. The second interview was a lab interview, during which I encountered some confusion and nerves that ultimately prevented me from completing the lab. However, I offered to explain anything I didn't get to, in order to demonstrate my understanding of the material. Unfortunately, the interviewer was dismissive and ended the interview abruptly. Although I have a strong network of professional references who could vouch for my skills and character, I was informed after the interview that I was not offered the role due to lab and the negative feedback from someone at my previous workplace. Despite my attempts to get more information and provide evidence to contradict the feedback, the company refused to reconsider their decision.
